Valentina Provini is a Swiss-Italian director of photography.
She grew up in Ticino where, after an apprenticeship on still photography, she studied cinematography in film school.
Since 2014 she has worked as an assistant for several directors of photography, among them: Caroline Champetier, Vladan Radovic and Diego Romero.
Now she works between Switzerland and France, as a cinematographer on narrative and documentary projects such as "Villa Ventura", short film directed by Roman Hüben, in competition at the Locarno Film Festival 70°, "Un usage de la mer", documentary shot in 16mm and directed by Fabrizio Polpettini and most recently her first feature film "L'amour du monde", directed by Jenna Hasse, in selection at 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.
